 Situated in the most northerly section of the Pascack Valley, Montvale is reknowned for being the home to many national and international coporations that help provide the town with a stable property tax. The local government had the foresight to establish strict guidelines for both commercial and residential development. This excellent planning has enabled Montvale to grow in a very desirable manner. Montvale is home to the top rated Pascack Valley High School, part of the Pascack Valley Regional High School System, which sends its students on to top rated colleges and universities. Its students attend this school with their Woodcliff Lake neighbors. The elementary and Middle Schools also offer an excellent primary education.
 A variety of organizations and clubs appealing to various age groups affords residents the opportunity to participate in many civic, educational and social programs. One example is the MonTVale Access Group, which offers residents the opportunity to participate in the development of video programs about people, places and events in the community, with programs aired on Cable Channel 78.
